CSKA conquered the sixth straight VTB League title. They eased past Khimki on the road to complete the sweep of the championship series. Nando De Colo (196-SG-87) scored 20 points to pace the champions.
CSKA silenced the hosts in the first term. The Moscow side triggered a massive 34:12 run in the opening ten minutes to clear off. The teams traded baskets throughout the second frame. CSKA ensured a comfortable 56:34 halftime lead. The situation did not improve for the home side in the third term. CSKA boosted the margin at 27-point mark heading into the fourth stanza. Khimki slowed their opponents in the final period but could not avoid the defeat. Cory Higgins (195-G-89, college: Colorado) netted 18 points, while Aaron Jackson (190-G-86, college: Duquesne) added 14 points for the winners. Alexey Shved (198-G-88, agency: Alti Sport) replied with 17 points for Khimki. Earl Rowland (188-PG-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) and Dmitry Sokolov (214-C-85, agency: Alti Sport) posted 13 points each in the loss.

Russian Stars celebrated victory in the inaugural VTB All-Star Game held in Sochi tonight. Andrey Vorontsevich (207-F-87) scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the winners. He was named the MVP.
The game lived up to the highest expectations as the teams came up with high-octane exciting performances. Russian Stars unleashed 45 points in the first period to take a 5-point lead. World Stars slowed their opponents down in the second frame. They jumped to a 70:67 halftime lead. But Russian Stars regained the control in the second half. They went on a 64:51 rally after the big break to claim victory. Alexey Shved (198-G-88, agency: Alti Sport) posted 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, while Sergey Karasev (201-SG-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed 17 points in the win. Nando De Colo (196-SG-87) and Janis Blums (191-SG-82) responded with 18 points each for World Stars. Keith Langford (193-SG-83, college: Kansas) had 16 points in the loss.
Sergey Karasev earned victory in the traditional Three-Point Shootout Contest. He overcame Ryan Broekhoff (200-F-90, college: Valparaiso) and Janis Blums in the final round. In the meantime Janis Timma (201-SF-92) celebrated victory in the Slam Dunk Contest. He prevailed against Maxim Kolyushkin (192-G-90) in the final round.
