France celebrated the title in Heraklion. They dethroned Spain tonight. France grabbed a 24-13 lead after ten minutes. les Bleus followed with a 23-20 rally in the fourth period and raced to the victory. Cameron Houindo (202-F-2008) tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Aaron Towo-Nansi (176-PG-2009) banked in 16 points for the champions. Marcos Zurita (191-G-2008) replied with 21 points for Spain.
3-4 Place
Greece - Serbia 65-74
Serbia stepped onto the pedestal in Heraklion. They upset hosting Greece to clinch Bronze medals. Serbia opened the game on a 23-13 run. They followed it with an 18-12 push in the third term to gain a decisive advantage. Vuk Danilovic (196-SG-2008) produced 24 points, while Andrej Bjelic (195-G-2008) added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for Serbia. Chrysostomos Chatzilamprou answered with 21 points for Greece.

5-6 Place
Italy - Israel 86-63
Italy stormed past Israel to clinch the fifth spot in Greece. Italy grabbed a comfortable 50-29 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Randy Livingston provided 19 points, while Thomas Acunzo (205-F/C-2008) and Federico Bottelli (189-G-2008) added 14 points each for the Azzurri. Shachar Drori (2008) answered with 15 points for Israel.

7-8 Place
Turkey - Latvia 77-98
Latvia coasted past Turkey to end up in the 7th place in Heraklion. Latvia went on a 54-37 run in the second and third quarters to surge ahead. Gunars Grinvalds (200-F-2008) delivered 19 points for Latvia. Omer Ziyaettin (188-PG-2008) answered with 21 points for Turkey.

9-10 Place
Lithuania - Germany 87-64
Lithuania stormed past Germany to claim the ninth position in the ladder. Lithuania recorded a 50-28 halftime advantage. They followed with a 23-12 rally in the fourth term to seal the win. Emilis Zibuda (176-G-2008) came up with 16 points for Lithuania. Jamie Edoka (195-G-2008) scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for Germany.
11-12 Place
Slovenia - Finland 79-82
Finland earned the 11th position as the tournament as they held off Slovenia today. Finland went on a massive 53-30 first half run to clear off for good. Reino Saivosalmi (188-G-2008) paced the winners with 26 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Stefan Joksimovic (194-F-2008) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Slovenia.

13-14 Place
Poland - Georgia 57-75
Georgia avoided relegation as they cruised past Poland in the game for the 13th overall position. Poland led by two points after ten minutes. But Georgia responded with a decisive 26-11 run in the fourth frame to gain a crucial victory. Mate Khatiashvili (2008) tossed in 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the winning side. Gabriel Sularski (196-G-2008) replied with 18 points for Poland.

15-16 Place
Bulgaria - Croatia 82-63
Bulgaria wrapped up their Heraklion campaign on a high note. They beat Croatia to earn the 15h position. Bulgaria triggered a 27-10 run in the second term to secure an unassailable 53-33 halftime lead. Svetoslav Slavov (2008) came up with 25 points and 10 rebounds for Bulgaria. Tomislav Vuckovic (190-F-2008) replied with 24 points for Croatia.
