France grabbed a 24-13 lead after ten minutes. les Bleus followed with a 23-20 rally in the fourth period and raced to the victory. Cameron Houindo (202-F-2008) tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Aaron Towo-Nansi (176-PG-2009) banked in 16 points for the champions. Marcos Zurita (191-G-2008) replied with 21 points for Spain.

Greece - Serbia 65-74
Serbia stepped onto the pedestal in Heraklion. They upset hosting Greece to clinch Bronze medals. Serbia opened the game on a 23-13 run. They followed it with an 18-12 push in the third term to gain a decisive advantage. Vuk Danilovic (196-SG-2008) produced 24 points, while Andrej Bjelic (195-G-2008) added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for Serbia. Chrysostomos Chatzilamprou answered with 21 points for Greece.

5-6 Place

Italy - Israel 86-63
Italy stormed past Israel to clinch the fifth spot in Greece. Italy grabbed a comfortable 50-29 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Randy Livingston provided 19 points, while Thomas Acunzo (205-F/C-2008) and Federico Bottelli (189-G-2008) added 14 points each for the Azzurri. Shachar Drori (2008) answered with 15 points for Israel.

7-8 Place

Turkey - Latvia 77-98
Latvia coasted past Turkey to end up in the 7th place in Heraklion. Latvia went on a 54-37 run in the second and third quarters to surge ahead. Gunars Grinvalds (200-F-2008) delivered 19 points for Latvia. Omer Ziyaettin (188-PG-2008) answered with 21 points for Turkey.

9-10 Place

Lithuania - Germany 87-64
Lithuania stormed past Germany to claim the ninth position in the ladder. Lithuania recorded a 50-28 halftime advantage. They followed with a 23-12 rally in the fourth term to seal the win. Emilis Zibuda (176-G-2008) came up with 16 points for Lithuania. Jamie Edoka (195-G-2008) scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for Germany.

11-12 Place

Slovenia - Finland 79-82
Finland earned the 11th position as the tournament as they held off Slovenia today. Finland went on a massive 53-30 first half run to clear off for good. Reino Saivosalmi (188-G-2008) paced the winners with 26 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Stefan Joksimovic (194-F-2008) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Slovenia.

13-14 Place

Poland - Georgia 57-75
Georgia avoided relegation as they cruised past Poland in the game for the 13th overall position. Poland led by two points after ten minutes. But Georgia responded with a decisive 26-11 run in the fourth frame to gain a crucial victory. Mate Khatiashvili (2008) tossed in 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the winning side. Gabriel Sularski (196-G-2008) replied with 18 points for Poland.

15-16 Place

Bulgaria - Croatia 82-63
Bulgaria wrapped up their Heraklion campaign on a high note. They beat Croatia to earn the 15h position. Bulgaria triggered a 27-10 run in the second term to secure an unassailable 53-33 halftime lead. Svetoslav Slavov (2008) came up with 25 points and 10 rebounds for Bulgaria. Tomislav Vuckovic (190-F-2008) replied with 24 points for Croatia.

Estonia - Romania 76-71
Estonia claimed Division B title. They held off Romania in the championship game tonight. Estonia built a 40-30 halftime lead. The Baltic side extended the margin at 15-point mark heading into the final frame. Romania poured in 25 points in the fourth quarter but could not avoid the loss. Sten Adamson (200-G/F-2008) and Hendrik Pertel (197-F-2008) netted 15 points each for the champions. David-Ioan Rasoga (187-G/F-2008) replied with 20 points for Romania.

3-4 Place

Belgium - Switzerland 75-80
Switzerland punched Division A tickets. They overcame Belgium in the consolation final to step onto the pedestal. Belgium eked out a one-point lead after ten minutes. But Switzerland bounced back with a 23-12 rally in the second quarter to spur ahead. Belgium sank 42 points in the second half but came up short of win at the end. Dario Cokara (178-G-2008) tallied 21 points, while Elyjah Rebetez (190-G-2008) added 20 points for Switzerland. Aaron Ona Embo (175-G-2009) accounted for 35 points in the loss.

5-6 Place

Slovakia - Montenegro 57-77
Montenegro earned the fifth place in Skopje as they coasted past Slovakia. Montenegro recorded a 37-21 halftime lead and cruised to the win in the second half. Dusan Stankovic (202-F-2008) posted 21 points, while Milos Vekovic (190-PG-2008) added 20 points for the Balkan team. Bruno Randuska (191-PG-2008) had 17 points for Slovakia.

7-8 Place

Holland - Sweden 73-58
Netherlands toppled Sweden in their final game in Skopje. Five players scored in double figures for the Dutch side. Teun van der Heijden (205-F-2008) tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds for Netherlands. Malcolm Price (185-G-2008) delivered 14 points for Sweden.

9-10 Place

North Macedonia - Hungary 71-80
Hungary overcame North Macedonia to clinch the 9th place. Hungary registered a 41-33 halftime lead. They held off the hosts in the second half and rallied to the victory. Zeteny Kurfis (200-F-2009) hauled in 30 points and 10 rebounds for Hungary. Gjorgji Cvetkovski (186-G-2008) netted 24 points for North Macedonia.

11-12 Place

Portugal - United Kingdom 76-63
Portugal claimed the 11th position at the tournament as they held off Great Britain. Portugal trailed by 10 points at the interval 26-36. But Portugal responded with a 30-14 rally in the fourth stanza to snatch the victory. Joao Conceicao (187-G-2008) scored 22 points to lead the winners. Aiden Fyfe answered with 26 points for Great Britain.

13-14 Place

Iceland - Austria 76-65
Leo Steinsen and Marino Oddgeirsson (200-F-2008) scored 14 points each to pace Iceland past Austria. Iceland went on a 27-8 rally in the first period and protected the advantage throughout the rest of the game. Armin Kapic (193-F-2008) netted 17 points for Austria.

15-16 Place

Denmark - Czech Republic 51-87
Czech Republic cruised past Denmark to earn the 15th place in Skopje. The Czech team dominated from start to finish. Krystof Davidek (201-F-2008) notched 15 points, while Jakub Zalud (190-G-2008) added 14 points for Czech Republic. Oskar Skaaning answered with 11 points for Denmark.

17-18 Place

Bosnia - Ireland 67-78
Ireland outgunned Bosnia to finish 17th in Skopje. Bosnia jumped to a 23-15 lead after ten minutes. But Ireland responded with a 42-27 run in the second half to snatch the win. Lorcan Bailey (191-F-2008) posted 14 points, 8 rebounds and issued 5 assists for the Irish side. Edin Preldzic (197-SF-2008) banked in 23 points and 14 rebounds for Bosnia.

19-20 Place

Cyprus - Norway 58-59
Norway nipped Cyprus to claim the 19th place. The teams went neck and neck throughout the game. Norway entered the fourth period up by two points and managed to hold on to a slender lead. Christoffer Ronning (203-F/C-2008) tallied 11 points and 16 rebounds for Norway. Kyriacos Constantinou (185-G-2008) answered with 15 points for Cyprus.

21-22 Place

Luxembourg - Ukraine 82-91 OT
Ukraine outlasted Luxembourg in overtime to end up in the 21st place. Luxembourg sank 24 points in the fourth term to force overtime. But Ukraine answered with 19 points in the extra period to steal the win. Petro Bilous (194-F/G-2008) stepped up with 32 points for Ukraine. Max Jungers (201-F-2008) notched 29 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists for Luxembourg.

Albania - Kosovo 61-101
Kosovo claimed their inaugural Division C title. They breezed past hosting Albania to write history. Kosovo set the tone early. They recorded a 51-26 halftime lead. Kosovo unloaded 32 points in the fourth quarter and rallied to a well-deserved victory. Besim Bytyqi (183-SG-2008) tallied 22 points and 9 rebounds, while Lis Binishi (180-PG-2008) added 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the champions. Enes Bilali (190-SF-2008) answered with 19 points for Albania.

3-4 Place

Armenia - Azerbaijan 71-63
Armenia held off Azerbaijan to step onto the pedestal in Tirana as they claimed the third spot. Azerbaijan led by seven points ten minutes into the game. But Armenia responded with a 36-21 run in the next two quarters to surge ahead for good. Rafayel Masumyan (2008) came up with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Edgar Agabekyan (190-SG-2009) had 19 points in the win. Huseyn Mammadov answered with 29 points and 15 rebounds for Azerbaijan.

5-6 Place

San Marino - Malta 70-40
San Marino outgunned Malta to finish fifth. San Marino led throughout the game. They established a 49-22 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Federico San Martini (180-PG-2008) delivered 16 points, while Francesco Mazzucco (193-C-2008) had 14 points for San Marino. Matthew Sammut (187-F-2008) knocked down 10 points for Malta.

7-8 Place

Moldova - Gibraltar 91-29
Moldova earned the 7th position as they crushed Gibraltar on the final day in Albania. Moldova used a 42-13 first half run to build a decisive lead. Alexei Svetenco (2008) notched 27 points, while Artiom Sert (2009) contributed 13 points for Moldova. Marco O'Connor (170-G-2008) had 7 points for Gibraltar.
