Serbia celebrated title in Tbilisi. They overcame slow start to beat Lithuania for U16 trophy. Petar Bjelica (208-C-2009) scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the champions. Lithuania posted a 53-43 halftime lead. But Serbia bounced back with a 32-15 rally in the third term to spur ahead. They sank 24 points in the fourth period to seal the win. Ognjen Simjanovski (191-G/F-2009) chipped in 22 points for Serbia. Gabrielius Buivydas (195-F-2009) responded with 26 points for Lithuania.
3-4 Place
Slovenia - Italy 79-71
Slovenia earned Bronze medals in Tbilisi. They beat Italy in the consolation final tonight. Lun Jarc (203-F-2009) came up with 27 points to pace the winners. Slovenia recorded a 44-37 halftime lead. They extended the gap at 9-point mark at the final break and protected it throughout the fourth frame. Simone Ventura (196-G-2009) tossed in 15 points for Italy.

France coasted past Latvia to earn the fifth position. les Bleus registered a comfortable 28-11 lead after ten minutes and breezed to the victory afterwards. Messi Yangala (203-F-2009) notched 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Tomass Latisevs (179-PG-2009) replied with 14 points for Latvia.

7-8 Place
Turkey - Spain 89-74
Turkey outscored Spain to earn the 7th place in Tbilisi. Turkey recorded a 39-36 halftime lead. They went on a 29-17 rally in the fourth period to ice the victory. Omer Kutluay (193-G-2009) came up with 31 points to pace the winners. Diego Ferreras (195-F-2009) replied with 17 points for Spain.

9-10 Place
Greece - Germany 62-74
Germany occupied the 9th place in Georgia. They beat Greece in their final game at the championship. Germany accumulated a 36-23 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 18-point mark heading into the fourth period and marched to the win. Paul-Julius Plato (201-F-2009) tossed in 20 points for Germany. Georgia - Romania 88-84
Georgia outscored Romania to claim the 11th place in Tbilisi. The hosts piled up a 47-37 halftime lead. They protected it well throughout the second half and marched to the win. Luka Pochkhua (2009) delivered 23 points and 8 rebounds for Georgia. Mihnea Gae (194-SG-2009) replied with 17 points for Romania.

13-14 Place
Israel - Estonia 91-70
Israel protected their Division A spot as they beat Estonia in the game for the 13th place. Israel posted a 47-30 halftime lead. They erupted for 28 points in the fourth term and rallied to the win. Eilon Sokolovski (2009) posted 32 points, while Omri Orland (2009) added 14 points for Israel. Robert Kangur (192-G-2009) answered with 16 points for Estonia.

15-16 Place
Finland - Switzerland 63-53
Finland wrapped up their campaign with the win over Switzerland. Finland went on a 40-18 second half run to seal the win. Heikki Humpert (200-F-2009) recorded 16 points for the winners. Alessio Solazzi (2009) hauled in 13 points for Switzerland.

Nikola Kusturica, 16-year old Serbian shooting guard picked up the Most Valuable Player at the FIBA Under 16 EuroBasket. He plays For the FC Barcelona Lassa 2nd team in Spain. Kusturica received multiple other awards, was named the Best Guard and was voted to the First Team. He conducted his way to the fourth position in averaging a commendable 20 points per game.
